Both Alperen u015eengün and the entirety of the Houston Rockets’ organization feared the worst when the star center tumbled to the floor in Sacramento last month.
u015eengün, who has not played since injuring his ankle at the Kings on March 10, met with the media Thursday before the Rockets hosted the Golden State Warriors at Toyota Center. u015eengün said he was happy with his rehab from an ankle sprain, tabbing himself at around 60-percent healthy. And while u015eengün hinted he’s unlikely to return to the floor this season, he considered the injury in Sacramento something of an avoided disaster.
