Former Rockets general manager (and current Philadelphia 76ers President of Basketball Operations) Daryl Morey could be seeking a reunion with James Harden next offseason, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
According to the report, the 76ers, not thrilled with the current trade market for Ben Simmons, "are believed to prefer to wait in order to pursue Harden or another superstar in the offseason and thus want to save Simmons for that potential sign-and-trade rather than take what's available on the current market."
That possible tactic is not too surprising for anyone familiar with Morey's philosophy over the past several years while guiding the Rockets as its top boss.
