Since the Houston Rockets acquired James Harden in 2012, they have been the model of consistency. The franchise hasn’t missed the playoffs since they traded for Harden, and have made the Western Conference Finals two times in the last seven years.
Although the Rockets have been consistent in their winning, they still have not been able to get over the hump and make it to the NBA Finals. Over the past few years, they’ve run into one of the greatest dynasties in NBA history in the Golden State Warriors and have also had some unfortunate luck with buzzer-beating shots, last-second 3-pointers blocked and untimely injuries.
