Tyler Deric made his ninth and best save of the night against Sporting Kansas City in the seventh minute of stoppage time, reaching around Benny Feilhaber to slap a point-blank shot from Latif Blessing off the line. The save preserved a scoreless draw, which clinched the Dynamo's place in the 2017 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs.
