Houston Dash defender Allysha Chapman, midfielder Sophie Schmidt and forward Nichelle Prince were called in to the Canadian Women’s National Team for the Tournoi de France, Canada Soccer announced today.
Canada will be part of the inaugural Tournoi de France and is set to play three games in Stade de l’Epopee, Calais. Most recently, Canada claimed a spot in the 2020 Olympics after scoring 23 goals in four games at the Concacaf Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament. Canada earned second place of the tournament after falling to the U.S. Women’s National Team, 3-0.
