Houston Dash defender Allysha Chapman, midfielder Sophie Schmidt and forward Nichelle Prince were named to the Canadian Women’s National Team to train and play a pair of friendly matches in Europe, Canada Soccer announced today. The three Dash players will join CanWNT from April 4-13 to face Wales (April 9, 12 p.m. CDT) and England (April 13, 1:15 p.m. CDT).
Chapman has represented Canada in two FIFA Women’s World Cups, playing every minute in five games during the team’s quarterfinal run on home soil in 2015 and appearing in all four games of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
