As of Tuesday, the Dash announced that they have acquired defender Rebecca Moros from the Western New York Flash in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2017 NWSL College Draft. Moros will provide great experience on defense.
Moros, a seasoned veteran, wasn’t with the Flash for very long. In November of 2015, Western New York traded Brittany Taylor to reigning champions FC Kansas City for the fullback. With FCKC, Moros started all 20 regular-season matches, helped to ensure that the team had nine regular-season shutouts (11 total shutouts for the entire season), played 180 minutes in the postseason, disallowed goals to both Chicago and Seattle during the playoffs, and helped guide the team to a 2015 NWSL championship title.
