With five goals and 15 starts over the 2016 and 2017 seasons, Michael Salazar looked to be a rising star for Major League Soccer’s Montreal Impact FC. But, instead, the 26-year-old finds himself in the USL Championship with the Houston Dynamo affiliate trying to work his way back to his former self after a serious knee injury.
“Honestly, last year was one of the hardest times in my career, “ Salazar explains. “I had a knee injury that kept me out for 8 months. This February was my first full practice session and I wasn’t sure if I would be able to play again.
