Stuart Holden has announced a celebrity soccer game to help raise money for those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Houston. The former Houston Dynamo player had tweeted after Harvey that he would be putting together a charity match in response to the flooding. The Kick In for Houston game will be held on November 18 at BBVA Compass Stadium at 6 pm CT.
“After the devastation of the storm passed, I was inspired by how the Houston community came together to support each other,” Holden said in a release about the game. “It’s a community that welcomed me when my family immigrated from Scotland when I was 10 and gave me my first real chance at professional soccer with the Houston Dynamo,” Holden said.
