Recap: Houston Dynamo 1, Sporting Kansas City 4

The Houston Dynamo wrapped up their 2019 preseason with a split-squad scrimmage against Sporting Kansas City in Tucson, Arizona on Wednesday evening. Sporting won the first team scrimmage 4-1, while the second scrimmage finished in a 1-1 draw.

The Dynamo took the lead in the fourth minute as Alberth Elis intercepted a pass in Kansas City's penalty area. The 23-year-old winger took a touch and beat Tim Melia with a low drive to the far post.

Sporting struck back in the 11th minute as Johnny Russell curled a first-time shot from just inside the 18-yard box. They took the lead in the 24th minute after video review reversed an offside call made on the field.
