The Houston Dash fell 2-1 to the Chicago Red Stars at BBVA Compass Stadium on Sunday evening.
Chicago forward Sam Kerr scored twice in the opening 13 minutes. Dash midfielder Sofia Huerta scored her second goal of the year in the 26th minute, but Houston was unable to find an equalizer in the remainder of the match.
Houston has a two-week break before traveling to Tacoma, Washington to face Reign FC on June 2.
