COLLEGE STATION – Dash forward Rachel Daly was a nuisance for the Texas A&M defense on Thursday night. Late in the game the England international finally struck with a goal.
Daly dove to head home a low cross from Cari Roccaro in the 79th minute, giving the Dash a 2-1 victory in their preseason finale at Ellis Field.
The Dash did not get as many dangerous attacking opportunities as they would have liked, but when they did it was Daly and midfielder Andressa providing most of the threat. They connected several times but never broke through.
Amber Brooks gave the Dash the lead in the 12th minute when she blasted a 35-yard free kick from the middle of the park into the upper left corner.
