After a decade in Houston with the Dynamo, former U.S. national team midfielder Brad Davis has accepted a trade to Sporting Kansas City.
Davis, who has worn the Dynamo captain's armband since 2012, signed off on the deal in part to be closer to his native St. Charles, Mo.
"Honestly, it's without a doubt bittersweet," Davis said. "You know how much this club meant to me and to my family. Honestly it's been an amazing ride with ups and downs. The emotions since finding out have been all over the place.
"I'm disappointed. This is something that's been obviously a huge part of me and who I am and who I've become over the last decade.
