With their final pick of the 2018 NWSL College Draft the Houston Dash drafted Sarah Shimer. The goalkeeper was the second player from the University of Washington draft by the Dash this year, Kimberly Keever was also selected by the team.
Shimer posted 11 shutouts in 2017 setting the team’s single season record. The goalkeeper had two shutout streaks over 400 minutes in 2017. The first streak lasted for 515:54-minutes before allowing a goal in. However, the second streaked started right after that goal was allowed. She allowed just 33 goals as a Husky with an overall GAA of .
