In a surprise move last Tuesday, the Houston Dash released veteran Stephanie Ochs and acquired defender Camille Levin from the Orlando Pride in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2018 NWSL College Draft.
Levin joins Houston after battling through a difficult 2016 season with the Pride. The 27-year-old made just one appearance for Orlando before she underwent an emergency appendectomy in May. As a result, Levin missed six matches and didn't return to action until early July.
The Newport Coast, Calif. closed out the season as Orlando’s starting left-back playing in nine straight matches after Steph Catley was sidelined with a fractured left foot, an injury she suffered while representing Australia at the Rio Olympics.
