Considering his résumé on the field, Gary Joseph’s Texas High School Coaches Association Hall of Honor induction seems like a formality.
His place among some of the state’s most recognizable figures in the coaching profession was made official Saturday night at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Houston during the annual THSCA Convention.
This year’s Hall of Honor inductees, which include longtime Katy ISD coach and administrator Bubba Fife, were announced in March.
With four state championships, 15 playoff appearances, 14 district titles, 201 wins and the continued construction of the Houston area’s most notable brand name in high school football, Joseph is working on Year 16 as the Katy football team’s head coach with just as much expectation as any.
