Much has been made of Dynamo forward Erick Torres' reunion with coach Wilmer Cabrera, but there are aspects of Torres' game this year that not even Cabrera recognizes.
The goals are familiar. The off-the-ball work and defense are new.
The combination of those things has transformed Torres into an improved version of his former All-Star self. After last week's hat trick against the New York Red Bulls, Torres leads the league with six goals.
He has scored in all four games and hopes to make it 5-for-5 when the Dynamo face the New England Revolution in Foxborough, Mass.
