Houston Dynamo's David Horst suspended for elbow to head

Just when it looked like the Dynamo might get closer to full strength on defense, that dwindling group took another hit Thursday.

David Horst has been suspended for one game by the MLS Disciplinary Committee for violent conduct that endangered the safety of an opponent in last weekend's match at Montreal.

Horst, who has played every minute of the last 14 league games, will serve the suspension Saturday night during Houston's home match against Toronto FC. He also has been fined an undisclosed amount.

The play in question occured on a Montreal corner kick in the 35th minute.
