The Houston Dynamo will host FC Dallas at BBVA Compass Stadium on July 20 in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals. Kickoff time and ticket information will be available in the coming days.
The Dynamo advanced to the Open Cup quarterfinals by defeating defending champions Sporting Kansas City 3-1 at home on Wednesday night. FC Dallas took down the Colorado Rapids 2-1 after extra time in Frisco, Texas.
The teams have met twice in the 2016 MLS regular season, a 5-0 win for the Dynamo in Houston on March 12 and a 1-1 draw in Frisco on June 2.
