Saturday’s rivalry game is the first of three this season for the Houston Dynamo and FC Dallas. The winner of the series will of course walk away with El Capitan for next season.
The Texas Derby started in 2006 with the winner walking away as the King of Texas. The series winner gets El Capitan, a replica 18th century mountain howitzer cannon, for the next season. Houston is the all-time leader of the series but Frisco has won more games overall. The Dynamo have won bragging rights the last two years running.
