Houston Dynamo forward Romell Quioto has been granted a green card by the United States government, the club announced today. Officially referred to as a permanent resident card, it grants an individual authorization to live and work in the United States on a permanent basis.
As a result of receiving his green card, Quioto will be designated as a domestic player by Major League Soccer and will no longer occupy an international slot on the Dynamo roster.
A native of Rio Esteban Colón, Honduras, Quioto joined the Dynamo on a full transfer from C.D. Olimpia in Honduras on Dec.
