Houston Dynamo FC has acquired midfielder Derrick Jones from Nashville SC in a trade for $100,000 in 2021 General Allocation Money and $150,000 in 2022 General Allocation Money, the Club announced today.
Additionally, Houston acquired the sixth overall selection in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft and $200,000 in 2021 General Allocation Money from the Colorado Rapids in a trade for the third overall selection in this year’s draft. Houston could also receive an additional $50,000 of conditional 2022 General Allocation Money from Colorado as a part of the deal.
Jones was a key part of Nashville SC’s inaugural team in 2020, making 18 appearances and nine starts in midfield and recording two assists.
