The Houston Dynamo have acquired the full acquisition rights for forward Mauro Manotas from Uniautónoma FC, his former club in Colombia, the Dynamo announced today.
When the Dynamo initially signed Manotas to a transfer agreement from Uniautónoma in 2015, the Colombian club retained a portion of his acquisition rights. This transaction gives the Dynamo full ownership of Manotas’ acquisition rights moving forward.
The Dynamo acquired the full acquisition rights and re-signed the 21-year-old Colombian striker using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM). The 21-year-old striker will no longer occupy a Designated Player spot on the Dynamo first-team roster, with the addition of Young Designated player Alberth Elis per MLS roster rules.
