The Houston Dash returned from the international break this afternoon and fell 1-0 to Racing Louisville FC at Lynn Family Stadium.
Louisville took the lead midway through the second half after Ebony Salmon dribbled around two Dash defenders at the top of the box. Salmon’s game-winning effort in the 71st minute was also her first professional goal.
Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell was called into action in the 9th minute as she made a save on Lauren Milliet’s effort from the edge of the box. The Dash shot stopper finished with four saves.
Houston tested Louisville goalkeeper Michele Betos with two long-range efforts in the 14th minute, beginning with Sophie Schmidt’s effort that just missed the inside of the far post.
