Thursday, the National Women's Soccer League held their annual College Draft. Forty players were taken over four rounds of draft action. Rose Lavalle was take as the number one pick in the draft by the Boston Breakers.
The Dash's first pick was the number 15 overall pick. The team selected goal keeper Jane Campbell out of Stanford. Campbell posted 35 shutouts at Stanford and had 210 saves. The goal keeper has been called in for U.S. Women's National Team training camp and will head to California for camp later this week.
Houston traded a second-round pick in the 2018 NWSL College Draft to the Chicago Red Stars for the eighth pick of the third round and used that pick to select Nichelle Prince.
