The first half was the only one that was needed for Houston’s 1-2 loss to the Chicago Red Stars. Both teams found goals in the first half and unfortunately for the home side the visitors found more.
It only took eight minutes in to the game for Sam Kerr to find the net. Michele Vasconcelos played a through ball to Kerr. She sent a left footed shot in the right corner of the goal to put the visiting team up early. Five minutes later it was Kerr scoring again to double the Red Stars lead. The Dash turned the ball over a midfield and the Red Stars put together a series of passes that ended with Kerr taking off with the ball.
