The Houston Dash acquired Kristie Mewis and future considerations to be named later, in a trade with the Chicago Red Stars for Morgan Brian and future considerations if certain criteria are met, the club announced today.
Mewis will join Houston prior to Sunday’s game in Frisco, Texas against Seattle Reign FC. The midfielder joined Chicago on Aug. 21 in a trade with the Washington Spirit and scored three goals and tallied an assist in 15 games this year.
The Boston College alumna began her professional career in 2013 after FC Kansas City selected her with the third overall selection in the NWSL College Draft.
