Houston has a World Cup logo, now all it needs is a successful bid.
On Thursday, the Houston 2026 World Cup Bid Committee unveiled a logo in hopes of luring games to NRG Stadium.
"The bid committee's logo is a dynamic reflection of the vibrant city it seeks to represent," said John Arnold, chairman of the city's effort to bring the event to Houston and Harris County. "It combines a soccer image with a space craft which is a perfect illustration of our high-flying ambitions."
Houston is among 17 American cities vying to become one of 10 host cities selected when the finalists are trimmed by 2021.
