Thanks to a brace from Romell Quioto, the Dynamo defeated the Colorado Rapids, 2-0, on Saturday night to win the Desert Diamond Cup in Tucson, Ariz. Houston went 3-0-1 in the preseason tournament. Here are three things we learned from that competition.
1 - Strap on your seat belts. The 2017 Dynamo look like a team that is going to be a dangerous threat in transition, and it's probably going to happen quickly every time. The additions of Hondurans Alberth Elis and Romell Quioto seem to be exactly what Houston needs to jump start an attack that idled through much of the last 23 games of 2016.
