Houston Dash defenders Lindsay Agnew and Allysha Chapman, midfielder Sophie Schmidt and forward Nichelle Prince were named to the Canadian Women’s National Team roster by head coach Kenneth Heiner-Møller for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Canada Soccer announced today.
The CanWNT, ranked fifth in the world by FIFA, open the tournament on June 10 against Group E contender Cameroon at Stade de la Mosson in Montpellier, France. Five days later, Canada will face New Zealand at Stade des Alpes in Grenoble. Canada will finish group play against The Netherlands in Stade Auguste-Delaune in Reims.
