Stage 2 of Major League Soccer’s Re-Entry Draft takes place tomorrow afternoon and the Dynamo hold the second pick. Stage 2 of the Re-Entry Draft gives teams the chance at taking an experienced MLS player who has not signed with their previous club but is looking to stay in the league. If a team drafts a player, they have seven days to offer them a genuine offer.
The Dynamo last made a selection in the Re-Entry Draft in 2018, taking Tommy McNamara from New York City FC. With the team looking to rebound from a disappointing 2020 season, the Dynamo could use quality, proven MLS players on their roster in 2021.
