Though his burgeoning career stalled in Portugal, the 22-year old Argentine's skills and soccer knowledge never left him.
Something just as important to his success, however, did leave him – his fitness.
The attacking midfielder officially signed with the Dynamo as a Young Designated Player on July 17, but he had not played since May 24. In addition to adjusting to his new environment and new teammates, he had to get in shape.
After nearly a month of training, Martinez debuted with the Dynamo on Aug.
