Mexico's World Cup run came to an end with a 2-0 loss to Brazil in the Round of 16 on Monday morning at the Samara Arena in Samara, Russia.
Mexico played well in the first half, going into halftime with a scoreless tie. However, Brazil struck early in the second half when Neymar scored after a nice cross at the 51-minute mark. Brazil put the match away on a Roberto Firmino goal at the 86-minute mark.
Brazil advances to play either Belgium or Japan in the quarterfinals on Friday. Mexico is done with the World Cup, but they will play a friendly against Uruguay on Sept.
