Erick Torres' 2017 season just keeps getting sweeter.
The Dynamo forward converted a penalty kick in the 41st minute Saturday night against the New York Red Bulls, extending his goal scoring streak to four games.
He is the first player in club history to accomplish that feat.
Torres had not scored a goal in 22 appearances over two seasons coming into 2017. Reunited with former coach Wilmer Cabrera, Torres has been given regular playing time and has been confident for the first time in Houston.
Torres' goal gave the Dynamo a 2-1 halftime lead. They fell behind in the 13th minute on a goal by Bradley Wright-Phillips but answered in the 14th minute on the first goal of Dylan Remick's career.
