Midfielder Eric Alexander was selected by FC Cincinnati with the fourth overall pick in the 2018 MLS Expansion Draft on Tuesday afternoon. With the pick, no other Houston Dynamo players were available for selection. As compensation, the Dynamo receive $50,000 in General Allocation Money.
Alexander, 30, was acquired via a trade with the Montreal Impact in July 2016. The midfielder appeared in 43 regular season matches for Houston, tallying a goal and three assists.
