Riding the best form of his career, Dynamo goalkeeper Tyler Deric has been named the MLS Player of the Month.
Deric allowed one goal in three regular season games in October. He has been instrumental in the club's rise from below the playoff line to No. 4 playoff seed.
The Homegrown Player from Klein High School followed those regular season games with another clean sheet in Thursday's knockout round game against Sporting Kansas City. He made six saves as the Dynamo held on for a 1-0 win.
Deric will be back in the net on Monday night when the Dynamo play host to the Portland Timbers in the first leg of their Western Conference semifinals series.
