Erick Torres’ long, stuttering run-up on penalty kicks seems to leave lots of room for error, but with recent success on his side, the Dynamo striker said he has no plans to change any time soon just because he failed on his last one.
His latest attempt came early in the second half Saturday against San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper Andrew Tarbell.
Torres began his approach 12 yards behind the ball, chopped his feet and took a step back before running forward. He chopped his feet again before slowly approaching the ball and hitting a weak shot to the right side.
