Dynamo defender Andrew Wenger announced his retirement on social media Friday, ending his MLS career after eight seasons.
Wenger spent his last three seasons with the Dynamo, amassing 10 goals in 76 games in club play. He helped Houston claim its first Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in his final season.
"We'd like to thank Andrew for his hard work, dedication and commitment, both on and off the field, since joining the Houston Dynamo," said Dynamo general manager Matt Jordan said in a statement. "He has always been a top-class professional and we wish him nothing but the best in the next stage of his career.
