The Dynamo will be without their two most exciting players at least for the next three weeks and potentially longer.
Forwards Alberth Elis and Romell Quioto have left Houston to join the Honduras national team ahead of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, which begins in the United States on July 7.
Honduras will play group stage games on July 7, 11 and 14. If Los Catrachos advance to the quarterfinals, Elis and Quioto would be gone until at least July 20.
The semifinals are July 22-23 and the final July 26.
Elis and Quioto for sure will miss the Dynamo’s games on July 1 (at Colorado) and July 5 (home versus Montreal).
