Houston forward Alberth Elis was named to the 2018 MLS All-Star Game on Friday, making him the 12th Dynamo player to be named to the competition. The MLS All Stars will face Italian powerhouse Juventus on Wednesday, Aug. 1 in Atlanta.
The selection is a career first for Elis, who’s just the second Dynamo forward selected to the game following Brian Ching—who made five appearances.
Since first joining the Dynamo on loan from C.F. Monterrey in 2016, the Honduran has used his blistering pace to exploit defenses. This season he leads the league in shots on goal (31) and is tied for the team lead in goals (8) and second on the club in assists (4).
