The Dynamo have informed Wade Barrett that he will not be their next full-time head coach.
Barrett recently finished a five-month stint as the club's interim coach. He replaced former coach Owen Coyle, who parted ways with the club on May 25. The Dynamo went 4-7-11 with Barrett in charge.
They were in last place when Barrett took over and finished the season in last place, never seriously threatening for the playoffs.
Barrett was praised for stabilizing the defense and organizing the team. The team desperately needed both improvements. Initially, that seemed like a big deal all by itself, but as the number of ties increased, the club's playoff chances decreased.
