The Dynamo have been awesome at home during league play. Now they have a chance to showcase that form while they go for a trophy other than the MLS Cup.
Houston will face Sporting Kansas City in the U.S. Open Cup round of 16. If the Dynamo advance, they would host their quarterfinal game, too.
The Dynamo-Kansas City winner will host the winner of FC Dallas and Colorado Rapids.
The round of 16 game will be played June 27 or June 28. The Dash have a home game on June 28, which could force the Dynamo to play the day before.
