At minimum, the Dynamo are showing interest in a new midfielder from Argentina. Reports from two continents, however, suggest the club's pursuit of Tomás Martínez may have moved past the recruiting stage.
Martínez on Wednesday afternoon was photographed eating lunch with Dynamo general manager Matt Jordan. The photo comes within a week of reports linking the 22-year old to the Dynamo.
Portuguese newspaper The Record on Sunday reported S.C. Braga of Portugal's first division had sold Martínez to MLS. On Tuesday, Argentina based journalist Cesar Luis Merlo tweeted that Martínez was traveling to Houston to finalize a deal with the Dynamo.
