The Dynamo roster has been dwindling for much of the off-season. On Friday afternoon the club finally added to it.
With the first pick in stage one of the MLS Re-Entry Draft, the Dynamo selected former Seattle Sounders FC defender Dylan Remick.
Seattle declined the option on Remick's contract following its MLS Cup championship season. According to the MLS Players Union, Remick's 2016 salary was $63,000.
By selecting him in stage one the Dynamo must exercise the option in Remick's contract or extend a qualifying offer.
The selection helps the Dynamo cover themselves in case they do not reach an agreement for a new contract with 34-year old left back DaMarcus Beasley.
