One of the most pleasant surprises from the 2017 season will return to the Dynamo in 2018.

Dylan Remick will stay in Houston after signing a new contract on Wednesday. His contract expired following the 2016 season, his first with the Dynamo.

Remick, 26, appeared in 14 games with 13 starts and scored one goal. He also scored in the U.S. Open Cup opener.

He served as the back-up to left back starter DaMarcus Beasley. Beasley's contract also expired. He remains a free agent.

He will be most remembered for scoring the goal in the second leg of the Western Conference semifinal series at Portland that clinched the Dynamo's advancement to the conference finals.
