Dynamo midfielder Collen Warner was selected by Minnesota United FC in the second round of Tuesday's MLS expansion draft.
Warner appeared in 24 games this season after being acquired in a trade just before the regular season began. The Dynamo most often used him as a defensive midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
The 28-year old's contract expired at the end of the season. Dynamo vVP/GM Matt Jordan said the club has been trying to negotiate a new contract with him.
By selecting Warner in the expansion draft, Minnesota United FC procures the rights to negotiate him.
