Dynamo games 'no place' for offensive chant

Soccer is often referred to worldwide as the beautiful game. The Dynamo are taking steps this weekend and beyond to make sure home game environments do not become ugly.

The Dynamo and their supporters groups have joined together to take a stand against a frequently used offensive chant during games.

The chant involves a Spanish word that is considered a derogatory and homophobic slur. It is shouted by fans when the opposing team takes a goal kick.

"It is an inappropriate remark and comment," Dynamo president Chris Canetti said. "There is no place for it in our game.
