While most of the players in preseason camp with the Dynamo know they will be on the team this year, there are 10 players who are still trying to make the cut.
Those players include second-day MLS SuperDraft picks Pablo Aguilar, Manny Padilla and Sheldon Sullivan.
Aguilar, a midfielder, and Sullivan, a defender, are both products of the University of Virginia. Padilla is a defender from the University of San Francisco.
All three had standout college careers but they’re finding out quickly during camp that the game is significantly tougher at the professional level.
“It changes a lot from college to here,” Aguilar said.
