A friendly match does not usually follow the same script as a league game, so it was no surprise Thursday night when Dynamo defender Dylan Remick morphed into a hustling strike with a great knack for finishing.
Late in the BBVA Compass Dynamo Charities Cup against Liga MX’s Cruz Azul, Remick left his usual spot at left back and got a 13-minute run as a winger. Though he was one of two Dynamo starters to play all 90 minutes kept up on a field full of players with fresher legs.
He had enough energy to outrun a defender for one of Alex’s passes on the left side of the 18-yard line and hit a looping shot high into the air and into the goal at the far post.
