The Dynamo will play Thursday’s playoff game without a key starter along the back line.
Right back A.J. DeLaGarza suffered a torn ACL in his left knee early in Sunday’s regular season finale against the Chicago Fire.
DeLaGarza, 29, is in his ninth MLS season. He started 30 of 34 games this year after coming to the Dynamo in an off-season trade with the LA Galaxy.
“We’re sad that we lost one of our players,” coach Wilmer Cabrera said. “He was outstanding for us. We wish him a quick recovery, and we have to move on because this is the game.
